I find Latin translations are quite popular when naming your character. I have been caught out before making a name using Latin and it ended up taken

It was Atriculo Mortis = Article of Death for a Necro. I have been thinking long and hard about some classy names for my next lot of characters
So far I have chosen my Dervish name and a Mesmer name (still never tried out a mesmer before). I will have 1 more slot left for a Paragon or a Rit, although I will probably keep it spare for any PvP characters.

My second mesmer's name has been reserved: Disruption Web--the classical corsair skill from Starcraft.

For now its my PVP slot.

I actually took "I Hate Dervishes" (para) during the preview event... right after I spawned in the first city, I saw someone else with a newly created character named "I Hate Dervishes x" or something. First come, first served!

"I Hate Paragons" (derv) is also taken by Rahl. People are just not negative enough in this game! ^_^

And few things are more frustrating than seeing the Latin names that are flat out incorrect, believe me. I guess it comes from having neither gender nor declension in English. Or, you know, grammar courses.

i got my dervish "tobacco farmer" waiting in my char select screen. what else you gonna use that scythe for besides farming tobacco? or farming while chain smoking, farming like a fiend. Makes perfect sense to me at least.. especially considering Dervishs will probably be a primo solo-farm class.

Ill probably name my paragon and ranger something more... charactery. I have a few ideas, but I dont really think about it too much. Ill have to wait for my slots to open up anyways.

I have two names reserved, even though I'll be making plenty of Nightfall characters. Here are my first two though.

Male Dervish: Seif Dahaka (I later found out that Seif means "sword of religion." Pretty appropriate fro a dervish, nice coincidence.

Male Paragon: Jericho Al Emir

I've currently got "Your Fly Is Undone" reserved for my Para/Derv.

Shame "Your Fly Is Open" was taken, though I suppose that was pretty obvious.

I currently have Peaceful Goddess reserved for my paragon, I'm thinking of using a Russian name for my Dervish :3
